Mindless Wednesday Ramblings

I've been reading a few blogs on American Idol so I thought I'd throw in my two cents worth - the ladies - forgettable. I don't remember who sang what and nobody is wowing me. Bring on the boys! I hope one of them wins. They could actually get rid of all 10 girls and just put the boys in the top 10 and I'd be happy.

The Amazing Race - How much do I love the Race?? So much that I would be on it in a nanosecond heartbeat if I could be!! It is the most fun on television!! I'm rooting for the Nerds - why you might ask? They're sweet. They're nice. A friend called today to tell me they were me and my dh - if they were both about a foot taller anyway. So GO NERDS!!!

Lent - now I'm not a Catholic but the idea of giving up something for Lent does appeal to me as a Christian. So I was thinking about this - chocolate and caffeine seem to be most peoples choice to give up for Lent. Either one would not be pretty for me I think. I was reading another blog today and she is giving up yelling at her kids. How I would LOVE to do that. So it's official - I'm giving up yelling at my kids for Lent. I'm going to need LOTS of help to accomplish this - and I'm going to steal her "giving up of yelling is rendered null and void in any situation that the child is in immediate danger" rule. Wish me luck!

That's about it for my mindless ramblings for now. I've got lots more to say but not enough time to say it - somebody has to find a certain little ballerinas tights for ballet class, pick up a surly 8 year old from school and convince him to hurry up and do homework so he can go to baseball practice, pray that the library calls with my book that I have on hold to read for the surly 8 year olds class tomorrow, figure out when on earth the children will eat dinner since we have AWANA tonight, find the cowboy hats for AWANA, and who knows what else needs to be done.
