*sniff* *cough*

Sick - UGH! Can't breathe out of the right side of my nose and my head is full of snot. YUCK!

The party went ok - sister was nice for a change and I didn't witness her being rude to anybody. I could tell she was trying hard though. Her dh is "on paid pastorial staff" (as I was told, a few times) so she has to be on her best "pastor wife" behavior. I resisted telling her I'm also on paid pastorial staff - it's not necessary information for her to know, and I'm not getting into a pissing match with her over ANYTHING. I just mostly was chuckling in my head about it because she was making it be such a big deal, not knowing that I'm in the same boat. And it's not something I'd brag about at all because it has SO much responsibility attached to it for the way you act and be with people and the expectations that are expected of you. I try hard to not let the fact out because as soon as I do I see the faces change and the way I'm treated be skewed just slightly.

The kids and I had fun though - DD and I rode the go carts together - which was enough for her to get over her fear and drive the kid sized one by herelf. DS had fun playing laser tag and riding go carts. He couldn't do the rock wall because he didn't weigh enough - he needs 5 more lbs at least for the rope to be able to let him back down.

Today we've got to go to the library and Costco. I'm just trying to chill out a bit since my head hurts and I don't feel good. I managed to convince dh to let dd and I stay home from ds's fencing. So it's nice to be able to chill out for a little while before we start running around.

Off to take some cold meds.
