Yesterday I went to the doctor for a "well woman exam." All of you women out there know that means the dreaded p word. Although, surprisingly they have new tools for this humiliating procedure and it wasn't half as uncomfortable as I remember it being.
Well, yesterday I also had a hair appointment. One of those appointments was much more pleasant than the other and I'm sure you can guess which one.
When I went to my hair appointment I almost collapsed into a fit of giggles. Why? Because the assistant pulled up a small silver side table, laid out a towel, and set out all the tools my stylist would need. Normally this would not amuse me, but when you've spent the morning in the doctors office and the assistant pulls up the small silver side table, covers it with a cloth, and lays out all the tools the doc needs for an exam - well, you can see why having it done at the hair appointment was amusing.
I was hoping the doc would have an answer for my constant "blah" feeling but alas, no such luck. I'm not convinced I don't need antidpressants or something but for now I'm going to try and deal with it on my own. I've started exercising again since that is supposedly helpful. I could always try some St. John's Wort or something - I've only resisted that because of my allergies and fear of having an allergic reaction to it.
Not much else is going on. Tomorrow is the last day of school so I need to figure out what to do about teachers gifts today. I asked dd's teacher today about what class she was going in for first grade - I didn't get a good answer and am afraid she's in the one teacher's class that I don't want her to have. I guess we'll just wait and see. I hope not but if that's where God wants her I guess I'll deal with it. There are two children I hope she's not in class with and one I'd rather her not be in class with - so hopefully those kids at least are in a different one than her.
1 more day of school, 64 days until vacation.
